The client is an industry-leading technology firm providing a comprehensive selection of financial products and services to clients worldwide.
The Challenge
The client’s investment in Cisco ACI, a software-defined networking solution, presented a challenge. ACI fabrics are installed in over 60 data centres globally. While the ACI contracts effectively segmented traffic between applications and successfully defined the permitted traffic, it can be difficult for users to search and verify the contracts’ intent.
The Solution
Using Kibana, a visual interface tool that allows users to explore, visualise and build dashboards over log data, Evolvere developed a tailored visual interface for the client to use. The visual shows ACI contract details and the various consume/provide relationships. The solution is easy to use as the ACI contract data automatically updates when the ACI fabric configuration changes. Combined with the ACI tables, the visual Kibana dashboard allows users to filter and check ACI contracts with ease.
